No Health Insurance? No Problem

If you have no health insurance right now but you are in a pretty good shape—and you can say that with conviction even without an executive check-up, then you have no problem as of the moment.  You will only have a problem if you get sick tomorrow or a few minutes from now, and you still haven’t gone looking for a health insurance policy.  Do you see where we’re trying to get at?  You need a health insurance!

Health insurance does not have to be expensive.  You can choose among many policies and prioritize according to the coverage you prefer.  It is very risky to live without a health insurance.  So get one as soon as you can.

How soon? How about now?  Here’s your guide to finding health insurance on-the-spot:

1. If you do not have a job or are self employed, you will need to buy an individual health insurance policy. This means that you will not be dealing with a group policy through an employer. The nice thing about this is that you can purchase without any outside viewpoints. Simply put, you will shop for your own health insurance, and end up with what you want; not what your employer is telling you to take.

2. Most people get health insurance coverage through their employer. If you are not doing so, you should ask your employer if they offer this benefit. There is a very good chance that they do. Even if you have to pay a percentage of the premium, you will still be eligible to pick up a policy right away. If you are out of work, you may want to consider taking any job with health insurance benefits until something more suitable comes around. Living without health insurance is a huge risk that you should not be willing to take.

Not having a health insurance only becomes a problem—and a huge one, for that matter—if the person who is currently doing without it is not worried about not having one.  We hope that if you are that person, you are now on your way to your employer or to a search engine that will lead you to websites of health insurance policies.
